Toys for Tots is a nationally known organization. Thanks to the founders, Bill and Diane Hendricks, the charity began the giving event in 1947 and continued impacting lives. As the charity took off, the Marine Corps Reserves join in the effort. Now each Marine Corps Reserve office is a drop-off point and encourages local businesses to be a point of holiday giving as well.
The overall goal is to support the families in need during the holidays. A simple gift for a boy or girl can take the stress away from parents, and brighten that child’s season. The Marines can be role models to these children as well.
